Two people encased in a tiny moment, connected to a vast universe.

"Life In Death" describes the impact one person can have on another, in moments when death lingers at life’s edges.  

Beauty in nature can be created from unpredictable weather patterns, just like the people I meet every day who become exquisite through wrenching circumstances.

The noblest way I can think of to honour these teachers is to impart a sliver of their wisdom, albeit through my own particular lens. The wisdom then becomes their legacy, and our blessing.


Janie Brown is the Executive Director of the Callanish Society, a nonprofit organization she co-founded in 1995 for people who are irrevocably changed by cancer, and who want to heal, whether it be into life, or death. She is currently working on her first book.
